Introduction to Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance (Full Day)

Course Introduction

This live on-line interactive insurance webinar is designed to introduce delegates, who have some experience of general liability insurance, to Directors’ and Officers’ Liability insurance.

The course will be highly interactive with delegate participation and engagement throughout. It consists of four units, two of which will be on-line sessions of up to 2 hours each with a break of approximately 90 minutes between the two sessions and the remaining two units will be offline.

The course is delivered by a Chartered Insurance Broker with over 40 years insurance experience.

• The cover provided
• The principal exclusions
• The common extensions
• The main claims conditions

Course Content

• Unit 1 – Pre-course reading
  This course requires an element of pre-course reading (approximately 15 minutes) which will be tested during the first on-line session. Delegates will be asked to send a typical policy wording to the trainer, which will form part of the exercise. If this is not possible an example will be provided.

• Unit 2 – On-Line Interactive Session
  Morning session up to 2 hours
  Elements:
  Testing of pre-course reading and review of knowledge gaps
  How Directors can be liable
  The cover provided

• Unit 3 – Off-line reading
  This course requires an element of off-line reading (approximately 25 minutes) which will be tested during the second on-line session.

• Unit 4 – On-Line Interactive Session
  Afternoon session up to 2 hours
