John Constable

BA (hons)

After his early career in the RAF, John has worked since 1991 in general insurance, the last 20 in the London market. For nine of those years John was head of training for a major international insurance broker, driving the adoption of business focused training and then guiding it through the demanding training and competence requirements of regulation.

He now provides interactive regulatory, financial and business planning/strategy training for brokers and insurers, bringing to it commercial awareness, credibility and pure energy. He knows first-hand both why understanding finance can be a challenge, yet why a grasp of the subject is essential to career success.

John’s published articles have encompassed financial crime, learning and development strategies, operational risk management and Solvency II.

John has a BA (Hons.) History degree from Kings College London, he holds a Certificate in Finance for Non-Financial Managers from the Open Business School, a Diploma in Management from Henley and is a Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
