David is a CII accredited Advanced Technical Trainer in General Insurance working in both the broker and insurer environments. He spent fourteen years as a commercial broker for an international broking company and as Commercial Insurance director for a major UK PLC. He then ran his own commercial insurance brokerage for seventeen years. David is also a Certified Online Learning Facilitator (COLF) ensuring he delivers effective, interactive, engaging online live webinars.

He has advised large and small business and charitable organisations on their insurance programmes particularly in the construction and professional services industries. The advice encompassed on all the major non-marine classes of insurance. He has also held underwriting authorities for commercial property, business interruption, liability, personal accident and motor fleet risks.

Since 2003 David has been dedicated to insurance related training. He obtained his Certificate in Training Practice (and therefore became an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Personnel Development) before becoming the first ever CII accredited Advanced Technical Trainer in General Insurance in January 2008.
