Financial Service Compensations Scheme
The Financial Service Compensations Scheme (FSCS) exists to protect customers of financial services firms that have failed. This means it can pay compensation if a financial services firm is unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it. FSCS is funded by levies on firms authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
